To do this we would also like to share with you the secret of large jewellery corporations that sell simulated gemstones for huge profits. Pliny The Elder the great historian wrote in 77AD that 'indeed there is no more lucrative fraud against society', two thousand years later and sadly this situation is escalating out of control!


      Today with modern technology jewellery can easily be made with glass and synthetic ‘gemstones’ that have been manufactured or even grown in a laboratory. This mass production process can often make pretty jewellery, however the product has little intrinsic value with most of what you pay going into profits, marketing and advertising.


      Our mission is to re-educate the world, to teach people the real difference and the true beauty that separates an authentic gemstone from a man-made look-a-like. We need to undo all of the confusion bought about by marketing campaigns of look-a-like items. We need to re-educate that genuine gemstones set in precious metals have intrinsic value; that only genuine gemstones are surrounded by myths and legends and that the only luxury goods you can own that are truly individual are jewellery pieces that have been set with genuine gems.

It’s not surprising really, when you consider rare gemstones are getting harder and harder to discover and that they last many lifetimes.       At Gems TV, we are passionate about supporting the miming communities in areas where we uncover gemstones. We are currently funding projects, Madagascar, Tanzania, Inner Mongolia and Zambia. The latter is by far our largest project and we currently are supporting two schools, a clinic and a farming project.

      At Gems TV we source stones from all over the world, from Tanzania to Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Cambodia and Madagascar. We feel it is essential to support the communities from which we buy our gems and to educate them in mining and safety practices. We run several charity projects in these countries and we insist on an ethical supply chain from start to finish. We also ensure that the mines we purchase from are environmentally responsible. Whether by chance or by design, nature has hidden most of her natural treasures in some of the remotest corners of the world. Gem exploring and extraction, not only provides an income to these indigenous remote communities, but also a real sense of hope for the future. Wherever possible, we work directly with gemstone mining communities to ensure that they are engaged sustainably and fairly. Coupled with our on the ground support to improve education and healthcare in gemstone communities, this means that you can be confident your purchase from us will make a difference. Our goal is to ensure that we always "Responsibly Transfer the Ownership of Nature’s Most Precious Treasures”.
